Gourmet Popcorn At Times Right

We went to Raymond, Illinois recently and visited Creekstone Kettle Works. They are a family-owned company producing kettle corn, caramel corn, cheddar popcorn, and chocolatey popcorn in a wide variety of delicious gourmet popcorn flavors.

Creekstone Kettle Works is in a small building which used to be a bakery and later a cafe. When we walked in, the inviting fragrance filled with the comforting scent of delicous popcorn was in the air. In another room we could hear popcorn popping and people chattering as they were bagging freshly popped popcorn.

The owner, Colleen Weir, came out of the room to greet us and proceeded to talk about her business and then invited us to watch the popcorn popping and bagging process.

As we walked towards the production room we were told to put a hair net on. Once in the room we were greeted by the workers and a massive mid century popcorn popper. It was amazing how much popcorn this popper could pop at a time. They were popping kettle corn and the smell was marvelous.

After the tour, Colleen talked about the many different flavors of popcorn her business makes and gave us a few samples of them. From the first bite we were sold on this product and had to have it at Times Right. She helped us pick out 12 flavors for our customers to try and will deliver our first order shortly.
