About Our Clock Repair Staff
At this time we are not doing house calls on grandfather clocks due to Ken not being able to lift or walk far because of back and leg problems.
Ken Hubler, husband of Wanda Hubler owner of Times Right, has been repairing clocks for 40 years. He attended Gem City College and recieved an Associate Degree in Horology with certifications in clock making, watch making, jewelry repair and jewelry design in 1982. He also spent 2 years as an apprentice at a well-known clock shop in Florida. Since then he has repaired thousands of clocks ranging from antique to modern.
Being now in his “golden years”, retired and wanting to enjoy life, he is only working on a few clocks at a time. Also starting in 2023 his back and legs are now not allowing him to lift or walk much making him unable to do house calls. So please be patient in waiting for your clock to be repaired.
Repairing Your Clock
First, there are many self-taught people who tinker with clocks who say they are qualified in clock repair. Many of these people do not have the tools or knowledge needed to properly repair a clock movement and improperly attempt to do a repair. Also many just take the movement out of the clock case and simply dunk the assembled movement in some kind of degreaser solution, dry it off and oil it. Your clock may run for a while, but it will stop running properly in a short time.
When you take your clock to Times Right for repair, your clock will be repaired by an experienced certified clock maker who has all the equipment needed to do the repair. This is why we can guarantee all repairs for 2 years. A large percentage of clocks Ken Hubler has repaired are still running from repairs done in the 1980’s.
